I'm having a bit of a hard time getting away from the idea of using a squiggle or a pencil to denote creativity/artistic. I would ideally like to have a wordmark as this company should appeal to educators and professionals. However, I also feel a symbol would be strong in helping to distinguish what type of company I'm creating and also make it feel accessible to kids. I still sort of hate the name, any suggestions? still the same idea of creative professionals coming into classrooms and teaching kids about different professional opportunities as well as to think well, creatively.Monday, February 16, 2009

Let's try to work on this (the name, symbols) in class, getting together with your small group to brainstorm some ideas!
ReplyDeleteThis might be too late, but when I think of creating anything there are a number of different ways in which things are created, not just by drawing squiggles or using a pencil. Building, formulating, meshing, melding, fusing, sewing, knitting, connecting...there is a laundry list of different ways to create SOMETHING. I think you just have to focus on a few ideas for your logo and run with them. I think the problem may be that there are endless possibilities!
